Executive Committee Member Spotlight

Stephanie Koontz
Assistant Vice President, Alumni & Career Connections
Walsh University

  • How many years have you been a member of ICAA? Of the executive committee?
    • I’ve been a member of ICAA for four years and a member of the executive committee for one year.
  • What is your favorite ICAA event of the year?
    • My favorite ICAA event is summer conference. The 2-3 day format and after hours events provides members from varying campus communities and professional backgrounds to come together, share experiences and build new relationships.
  • What is your favorite ICAA memory?
    • Aside from the delicious taco bars that have become an ICAA tradition, I’d saw my favorite memory was co-presenting alongside Katie Webster at this past summer’s conference. As someone who came to ICAA as a new face in higher education, it was an honor to share our new program development with many of my peers who I’ve looked up to for years.
  • What is a fun fact about you?
    • For how much structure I have in my professional life, when it comes to vacations, I enjoy the least amount of structured plans possible. Aside from the obvious of when I’m leaving and returning, I like to keep each day’s activities up for a random adventure.

Not sure if your institutional membership is up-to-date? Connect with our ICAA Membership Chair, Ed Lenane at lenanee@denison.edu.

Let's Connect!

In an effort to raise awareness about ICAA, our membership, and professional development opportunities, we will be transitioned to a more visible LinkedIn page. You can find the page here.

At the same time, we will concentrate our social media efforts solely within LinkedIn as we feel this is the best space online for our organization and members to share and network in a professional environment. ICAA no longer maintains active X (Twitter) or Facebook accounts.

Be sure to share the link to the new LinkedIn page with your colleagues and others in the advancement, alumni relations, communications, and advancement service areas at independent colleges within the Midwest.

  Job Postings

Do you know the most clicked page on the ICAA website is job postings? Check out current opportunities at ICAA member institutions here. Institutions with current memberships can post openings anytime.

Is your staff listing current?
