Executive Committee Member Spotlight

Lynne Dewyre
Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations
Hiram College

  • How many years have you been a member of ICAA? Of the executive committee?
    • I’ve been a member of ICAA for 18 years between the three different institutions I have worked at. I have been a member of the executive committee for a little over a year.
  • What is your favorite ICAA event of the year?
    • My favorite event is most definitely the summer conference. The conference is filled with a wealth of information from various perspectives regarding Advancement work. It has also been a fabulous way to connect with others in our community and utilize them as resources.
  • What is your favorite ICAA memory?
    • One of my favorite ICAA memories was my first time going to the conference in 2000 when I worked for Siena Heights University and the joy of knowing there were others to connect with who could relate to the highs and lows of what we do. Last year, coming to the conference a bit early and getting to know more people on the Executive Committee and the Conference Planning Committee was a blast sharing our best advancement stories!
  • What is a fun fact about you?
    • A fun fact about me is that I am really into popular culture, not just for the ‘fun’ side of it but also for the sociological and historical side of it. I was lucky enough to work as a student worker for four years in the nationally renowned Popular Culture Library at Bowling Green State University. That time helped ignite my interest in something that was already a big interest of mine. I love the popular culture of the 80s and would challenge almost anyone in trivia about that time.

Membership

Not sure if your institutional membership is up-to-date? Connect with our ICAA Membership Chair, Ed Lenane at lenanee@denison.edu.

Let's Connect!

In an effort to raise awareness about ICAA, our membership, and professional development opportunities, we will be transitioned to a more visible LinkedIn page. You can find the page here.

At the same time, we will concentrate our social media efforts solely within LinkedIn as we feel this is the best space online for our organization and members to share and network in a professional environment. ICAA no longer maintains active X (Twitter) or Facebook accounts.

Be sure to share the link to the new LinkedIn page with your colleagues and others in the advancement, alumni relations, communications, and advancement service areas at independent colleges within the Midwest.

  Job Postings

Do you know the most clicked page on the ICAA website is job postings? Check out current opportunities at ICAA member institutions here. Institutions with current memberships can post openings anytime.

Is your staff listing current?

Log in and check the staff list for your institution under “member directory.” You may be surprised by how many changes have occurred at your institution since you last viewed this list. Contact Carly (Arthur) Workman for assistance with updating your member list so your entire team can receive future communications and invitations from ICAA.

Be sure to visit the ICAA Membership page to update your information, review the list of active members from your institution, or help new employees sign up for their own accounts!
